A few months back we made a trip to Nashville, In...while there Sherry, Rhona and Cindy gave a try at throwing clay on a pottery wheel.... Sherry was bit by the pottery bug..and is taking a class at Bloomington...Pictured above are her first two items... These four she has created since taking the class and are waiting patiently till she fills up her shelf...Then they will be glazed and fired...I have already spoken for the saucer....She just laughed...wonder what that means?..... Like the other girls what ever they lay their hand to is amazing.....The Ol' Blogger

Sherry, how impressive, but I'm not surprised, I'm the Elder I should be able to pick one first. Did that carry any weight???
We are a group of women of different personalities and ages who blend together to make for an interesting and fun group. Our group is dedicated to creating art using various textiles and other mediums. Our interests include sewing, knitting, quilting, doll making, purse making, felting, beading, jewelry making, stained glass, glass blowing, glass fusing, mosaics, and altered books. We share our ideas and our time, to create items that are unusual, traditional and fun. Our fun meter is more important than our gas meter. We fill it at least once a month during our monthly meeting where we have show and tell to show projects we've completed, talk about new projects and share ideas. And the food!! As textile artists we are such lucky people. We find pleasure in simple things; the colors of hand-dyed fabrics, a spool of lustrous thread—we almost hyperventilate when we go through the door of a bead store! How fortunate we are to have passion to create and to achieve such satisfaction in what we do.
