One of Phil Beaver's paintings...I do believe when God was handing out talent he blessed Phil with them...Lets see he creates unique quilts, cooks food fit for a queen, has a green thumb, and can make his own Rembrandt ... One truly blessed man...When I saw this picture in his Salon/Studio my imagination ran way with me...I could envision taking the shirt off the hook and going through the door for a early morning stroll through the garden..hmmmmm
We are a group of women of different personalities and ages who blend together to make for an interesting and fun group. Our group is dedicated to creating art using various textiles and other mediums. Our interests include sewing, knitting, quilting, doll making, purse making, felting, beading, jewelry making, stained glass, glass blowing, glass fusing, mosaics, and altered books. We share our ideas and our time, to create items that are unusual, traditional and fun. Our fun meter is more important than our gas meter. We fill it at least once a month during our monthly meeting where we have show and tell to show projects we've completed, talk about new projects and share ideas. And the food!! As textile artists we are such lucky people. We find pleasure in simple things; the colors of hand-dyed fabrics, a spool of lustrous thread—we almost hyperventilate when we go through the door of a bead store! How fortunate we are to have passion to create and to achieve such satisfaction in what we do.
