We have all together purchased a Kiln and it is in Sherry's garage...For Slumping and glass fusing...Pictured here is one of the wine bottles she Slumped for us..By putting the bottles in and firing this makes a great cheese cutting board or wall ornament.
Cindy brought this for show-n-tell last Saturday...She had won this at a meeting she had attended...A cake pin cushion...
Hold on there Miss Sherrie J, it has always been my responsibility to secure enough empty wine bottles for our projects, don't think you are going to root me out, you should be so lucky as to get one for a Christmas gift...
We are a group of women of different personalities and ages who blend together to make for an interesting and fun group. Our group is dedicated to creating art using various textiles and other mediums. Our interests include sewing, knitting, quilting, doll making, purse making, felting, beading, jewelry making, stained glass, glass blowing, glass fusing, mosaics, and altered books. We share our ideas and our time, to create items that are unusual, traditional and fun. Our fun meter is more important than our gas meter. We fill it at least once a month during our monthly meeting where we have show and tell to show projects we've completed, talk about new projects and share ideas. And the food!! As textile artists we are such lucky people. We find pleasure in simple things; the colors of hand-dyed fabrics, a spool of lustrous thread—we almost hyperventilate when we go through the door of a bead store! How fortunate we are to have passion to create and to achieve such satisfaction in what we do.
