Kathy combines coloring crayons and embroidery into this sweet sampler. She used a Bareroots pattern.. Each upper case letter and a word for the letter..with the symbol outlined and detailed with her wonderful hand tiny embroidery stitches...she has taken a step farther by coloring in..Many who have seen her work have commented on the evenness and tiny stitches she does...As always Kathy another Blue Ribbon Beauty...

Almost makes you want to get pregnant again, doesn't it?
We are a group of women of different personalities and ages who blend together to make for an interesting and fun group. Our group is dedicated to creating art using various textiles and other mediums. Our interests include sewing, knitting, quilting, doll making, purse making, felting, beading, jewelry making, stained glass, glass blowing, glass fusing, mosaics, and altered books. We share our ideas and our time, to create items that are unusual, traditional and fun. Our fun meter is more important than our gas meter. We fill it at least once a month during our monthly meeting where we have show and tell to show projects we've completed, talk about new projects and share ideas. And the food!! As textile artists we are such lucky people. We find pleasure in simple things; the colors of hand-dyed fabrics, a spool of lustrous thread—we almost hyperventilate when we go through the door of a bead store! How fortunate we are to have passion to create and to achieve such satisfaction in what we do.
