Sherry built her own quilted village around a center patchwork of "green"..she began this in 2000 and finished it in 2002..Complete with school house, church, a house with a white picket fence...Saltbox house, even a fixer upper, a cottage with birdhouse and many more...One can imagine antique wardrobes, beds and cupboards overflowing with fabrics of every color filling each home. A special quilt show being held in the Town Hall with the clock outside telling all the time..And Old Glory waving proudly in the wind... Click and enlarge and marvel at the embroidery and ribbon works Sherry has put into her village...She did hand quilt this as she does on a lot of her quilts...Which adds so much...take a look at her superb work....

I love this quilt...if we get a quilt when we're 70, I want one like this....you have plenty of time!! K
We are a group of women of different personalities and ages who blend together to make for an interesting and fun group. Our group is dedicated to creating art using various textiles and other mediums. Our interests include sewing, knitting, quilting, doll making, purse making, felting, beading, jewelry making, stained glass, glass blowing, glass fusing, mosaics, and altered books. We share our ideas and our time, to create items that are unusual, traditional and fun. Our fun meter is more important than our gas meter. We fill it at least once a month during our monthly meeting where we have show and tell to show projects we've completed, talk about new projects and share ideas. And the food!! As textile artists we are such lucky people. We find pleasure in simple things; the colors of hand-dyed fabrics, a spool of lustrous thread—we almost hyperventilate when we go through the door of a bead store! How fortunate we are to have passion to create and to achieve such satisfaction in what we do.
