What a beautiful piece of jewelry, made by Kathy.Using peyote stitch and then folding she created this neat look. We love the staggered look...Her closure for this one was seed beads made into a loop and she use one of the rolls to feed through the loop...
I wish this wasn't blurred...but it is still simply gorgeous....First Kathy used peyote stitch for the bracelet. Then she made fall leaves using delicas and size 15 beads..and stitched into the bracelet...One of the neat things about this bracelet she used snaps for the closure..
Kathy stitches up these rings...the added details on top adds an extra zing for these rings..
We are a group of women of different personalities and ages who blend together to make for an interesting and fun group. Our group is dedicated to creating art using various textiles and other mediums. Our interests include sewing, knitting, quilting, doll making, purse making, felting, beading, jewelry making, stained glass, glass blowing, glass fusing, mosaics, and altered books. We share our ideas and our time, to create items that are unusual, traditional and fun. Our fun meter is more important than our gas meter. We fill it at least once a month during our monthly meeting where we have show and tell to show projects we've completed, talk about new projects and share ideas. And the food!! As textile artists we are such lucky people. We find pleasure in simple things; the colors of hand-dyed fabrics, a spool of lustrous thread—we almost hyperventilate when we go through the door of a bead store! How fortunate we are to have passion to create and to achieve such satisfaction in what we do.
