This years quilt has been sent off and we are waiting for the results. "Serenity" was the name chosen for the quilt. I am going to let one of the other girls share the details...As due to illness my part was only the label....What a joy it is for me to be a part of such a wonderful group. I have learned so much from them. Elaine

Hoffman Challenge 2007
Each year one print is chosen to be featured in The Hoffman Challenge. That fabric must be incorporated into the quilt. Last year we decided to enter and here is a picture of our first group quilt in progress.
We named our quilt "From Seed to Shining Seed". It was chosen to travel. Traveling through out the country, being displayed at quilt shops, national exhibits and quilt shows.
According to Hoffman Web Sight it is a honor for a quilt to be chosen to travel...I know we all feel very blessed to have been chosen.

July Fun Meter fill up
Jody, Cindy, Rhona, Sherry and Elaine met at my house for our monthly quilting day. We started out eating Black Olive dip with Blue Corn Chips that Cindy brought. Elaine brought apple dumplings, so that was next. After a bit of Show and Tell, I grilled hot dogs with bacon and cheese and "Poop on a Stick" (also known as hamburgers on a skewer), named by Jody's grandson, Benjamin. To complete our menu, we had potato salad, fresh green salad with cranberrys and pecans, fresh tomatoes and cucumbers from Sherry's garden, and to top it of, Pineapple Cheese cake from Rhona's kitchen. We stitched and talked through the afternoon, and a good time was had by all.

We're Official!
SoTA, The Society of Textile Aritsans, now has a blog.
We plan to use the blog to tell about projects our group is working on or completed, shows we've attended, day trips/road trips we've taken or anything else that strikes our fancy.
