Izzy

Not a bunny rabbit...but I decided to post this picture for Easter...I made this wall hanging at the end of last year for my niece and her new husband...just hadn't gotten around to posting...using the picture in the right corner I blew it up with an overhead projector....I quilted it by machine...They have it hanging in their front room...how sweet...As with Easter it is all about Love...Our love for one another and God's love for all...
May your Easter be full of that love...From The Ol'Blogger and All the SoTA Sisters...

Clutch

While on a shopping trip with the SoTA girls, my sister Dawn bought this pattern...She wanted me to make her a couple...she purchased fabric at the same time...but first I decided to do a practice...which have pictured here...

Mom Taught Daughters a Lesson...

My girls have a habit of needing a baby blanket or something in just a few days...Missy brought me fabric on a Wednesday and need it finished by Saturday for a baby shower...I helped her cut the pieces that night...she said I will come Friday night and we can finish it...Knowing she expected me to have it all done...I was sick with a head cold....so....when she got here on Friday guess what...yes it was just as she had left it...

Geri brought pizza over and with two machines going they worked all night.....
Geri checking a panel she just finished before turning it over to Missy to sew to other panels...Walla baby quilt....all finished but the cutting and washing to fray the edges...which Missy took home to finish...Lesson learned: if you want Mom to make it give her more than a few days...giggle...The Ol'Blogger

Happy Inside Out...

Social Benefits of Laughter: Laughter connects us with others...We have often discussed how we are always happy inside out when together...First thing that popped in my mind when I saw this picture was our Laughter...This is not a posed smile for a picture from Sherry.. but a spontaneous reaction to what was going on around her...For Laughter is contagious...Rhona captured this picture while on retreat at the farm...

No Piddling Rhona!

After returning home from a trip, Rhona only had a couple days till we were going to Judith's for a Christmas get together...She journeyed to Joann's and found a pattern, selected her fabric, came home, cut out, sewed this coat to wear for that night...She puts me to shame all she can get done in the time I waste piddling...it would take me the two days to make up mind what I wanted....I have forgotten the type of fabric, but the feel was wonderful....

The Elder

MJ beget (to bring into existence :0).. this doll for "The Elder" several years back...surprised her on one of our Chocolate nights...We all were in awe at the preciseness of Jody's characteristic that MJ had captured... with the books laying at her feet.. Jody loves books....a shopping bag with fabric, and supplies.. she has the dyed sorta red hair she wore at that time....even the hand made rose pin she is so famous for wearing...all the wonderful things that make Jody..our Jody...Lots of love and effort went into this classic one of a kind art doll... Jody loves this doll almost as much as we love her...The Ol'Blogger...

Memories,,,

Memories fill all are lives..."The Elder" has memories all over her house...~As one matures we do not remember days; we remember moments. ~ This little clothesline holds lots of moments...Jody's grand babies clothes...Really cute story...She had two grand boys and dreamed of a dainty little grand girl ...instead of a dainty little girl she got a rough tough Crack Shot in Petticoats, She likes to play dress up but is not the tippy toe quite kind...as the pink (wore out) socks of Audrey's hanging here remind us...When one walks by the laundry door it always brings a smile..

Safari..

Cross-stitch is a popular form of counted-thread embroidery in which X-shaped stitches in a tiled pattern are used to form a picture. Rhona made this gorgeous afghan which features animals from all over the world...Includes an elephant, monkey, tiger, kangaroo, polar bear, and more...for her daughter Amber.. Rhona has truly mastered this art...Every project she has done that I have seen are simple outstanding...The Ol'Blogger
