High on Life

"Before"...Okay three (Kathy,Cindy and Rhona) go to Chicago for the quilt show...and arrived home safely Saturday with projects challenges to finish....Cindy was to re-upholstery her computer chair...

"After"...She took one hour on Sunday and finished her challenge...while in Chicago in the warehouse she purchased the fabric...it has circles...remember the divider wall she and Kent did for their computer area..the glass was made with circles.. so the reason she wanted the fabric..Perfect....
The man at the warehouse thanked them for entertaining them..."for the show" I believe was his words...People even wanted to join them and know what they were drinking...Cindy answer..."nothing we are just high on life"...that would be the SoTA Sisters always fun no matter what...The Ol'Blogger

My April UFO

My UFO for April...Rhona bought these sewing kits for us while she and Cindy were in Texas for the quilt show...we are to have them done by CN...I added my Elvis watch, now I can always know what time it is...I am not as hung up on time as I use to be...but sometimes time is needed to make life easier for others...so I need to do my part :0)...

Opened.... there is a place for needles, pins and scissors.etc..Thank you again dear sweet Rhona....The Ol'Blogger
PS...while three of our girls are in Chicago the other three got together today....Jody worked on a quilt in progress, Sherry practiced her calligraphy letters and they taught me how to do a DNA stitch with beads...we did check on the girls and they were at the warehouse...Fun was had by all today....

Kathy's UFO

Kathy UFO for April...The girls took a class on fusing glass and these are Kathy's pieces...Then she beaded these chains for each...the one is a pin...I love each one...I will be joining "The Elder" tomorrow at Sherry's and they are going to teach me to make a beaded chain...Making your own jewelry is a practical and inexpensive way to indulge ones creative side...Like we need another outlet...sure we do...The Ol'Blogger

April F.M.F.U. Monthly Meeting..

We had are monthly meeting at Rhona's...It was a beautiful day in many ways...Pictured above: Rhona's sweat shirt turned into a jacket...
Here is Cindy's front and back
They used lace, yo-yo's and buttons to decorate the sweat shirts...Rhona created her with the longer length where Cindy cut hers for a short look...Both are stunning....Everyone was to have theirs made for the Chicago trip...Which will be Wed-Sat...
So far these are the only two finished...so time has been lengthened till Chocolate Night...
Rhona served us Rebecca's spaghetti with salad and bread...It was delicious...For desert she had made banana pudding...just like my Mom always made...which touched my heart...Thank you again sweet girl...We missed Sherry and Kathy was only able to stop to drop off some things she had for us..But Cindy P. did join again this month..
Will be sharing our show-n-tell and April UFO'S in the up coming days...The Ol'Blogger

Not a bunny rabbit...but I decided to post this picture for Easter...I made this wall hanging at the end of last year for my niece and her new husband...just hadn't gotten around to posting...using the picture in the right corner I blew it up with an overhead projector....I quilted it by machine...They have it hanging in their front room...how sweet...As with Easter it is all about Love...Our love for one another and God's love for all...
May your Easter be full of that love...From The Ol'Blogger and All the SoTA Sisters...

While on a shopping trip with the SoTA girls, my sister Dawn bought this pattern...She wanted me to make her a couple...she purchased fabric at the same time...but first I decided to do a practice...which have pictured here...

Mom Taught Daughters a Lesson...

My girls have a habit of needing a baby blanket or something in just a few days...Missy brought me fabric on a Wednesday and need it finished by Saturday for a baby shower...I helped her cut the pieces that night...she said I will come Friday night and we can finish it...Knowing she expected me to have it all done...I was sick with a head cold....so....when she got here on Friday guess what...yes it was just as she had left it...

Geri brought pizza over and with two machines going they worked all night.....
Geri checking a panel she just finished before turning it over to Missy to sew to other panels...Walla baby quilt....all finished but the cutting and washing to fray the edges...which Missy took home to finish...Lesson learned: if you want Mom to make it give her more than a few days...giggle...The Ol'Blogger
