Little Sparrow

We all love Phil Beaver...He and his friend Jim (which we adore also) joined us in Dec. at Cindy's. Jody had created this beauty for Phil's granddaughter. Jody gave her to Phil to deliver to Sylvia

She is named Little Sparrow which is one of Phil's nick names for Sylvia. Sparrow is dressed in pink (Sylvia's favorite color) with a sparrow perched in her hair. Adored in lots of tulle and  pink fabrics..intertwined in the skirt is the shelve edge of one of Phil's line of fabric with the words "Indiana Harvest by Phil Beaver for Free Spirit..Free Spirit is the manufacturer.. Her braclet has a book attached which tells her story related by Jody...The Elder did great, this is one of those pictures you need to enlarge to see all the details she put into her.

Pictured her, Sylvia dressed in pink with Sparrow...Her eyes speak volumes about her delight with this special gift made from love just for her... The Ol'Blogger

P.S. While cleaning my files I just found this picture we had taken at Cindy's..So am adding it now..

Kaffish

"Kaffish"  a quilt Kathy hand pieced, but machine quilted, just to have it done in her lifetime..giggle..She named it for all the Kaffe Fassett fabric she used..Another man who has proven quilting is not just for women...I am sure by now she has the binding on..

Good Girls Dolls

The Elder, Kathy, Rhona and Sherry, took a class by Debbie Crane.. Mrs.Crane is an art teacher at BNLCS our local school corporation.. She took a book class several years back and now is a well known art teacher and has had several articles printed by "Cloth- Paper".
The class was for young and older held at Debbie's father-in-laws leather shop in Bedford..Pictured above are the dolls the girls made. Debbie shared with the older group these are "Good Girls" because their legs are sewed together..giggle.. One thing about these dolls like the ladies that made them they have style...
